Several local teams learned where and whom they will be playing in the Section III playoffs on Sunday.

The Auburn girls soccer team earned a No. 3 seed in Class AA and will play host to Fayetteville-Manlius on Thursday. The Maroons finished with a 13-3 record and defeated the Hornets (11-5-2), 2-1 earlier this season. Auburn finished their season by upsetting state-ranked Cicero-North Syracuse last week.
In Class B, the Skaneateles girls soccer team (6-8-2) got the 12th seed will travel to No. 5 Clinton (13-3-2) on Tuesday. The winner of that game will head to Marcellus to face the top seeded Mustangs.
In Class B boys soccer, Jordan-Elbridge (3-14) earned a 12 seed and will travel to play No. 5 Illion (10-6-2), while No. 9 Cazenovia (8-10) will play at No. 8 Skaneateles. The winner of the battle of the Lakers will head to No. 1 Clinton, who defeated Skaneateles last season, 1-0, in the sectional finals.
Two local field hockey squads will play at Liverpool high school on Friday night. In Class D, No. 1 Morrisville (17-1) will square off against No. 4 Port Byron (4-13-1) at 5:30, and immediately following that game, No. 2 Weedsport (14-4) will play third seeded New York Mills (8-7-3). The winners of those two games will play at 7 p.m., Nov.1 at Rome Free Academy Stadium for the Section III, Class D Championship.
