Fearon deserves another term in District 7

Saturday, October 20, 2007 11:58 PM EDT

George Fearon has always taken every job he's had seriously. He's never just gone through the motions, but scrutinizes and analyzes real and potential gains and losses. George's experience and character allow him to work efficiently as a leader interacting effectively with the county board.
He invites the public not only to attend all board meetings, but all committee meetings as well. His track record and consistency is posted on his web site and he urges and has always urged constituents to call, write or e-mail him with any concern they have.

The only agenda George has is doing what his constituents want to the best of his abilities. In that mindset, he not only works all day with an open door policy but frequently attends the meetings of all the villages and towns in his district and regularly attends the meetings of six standing committees consuming most every evening as well. George doesn't just listen; he hears what people have to say and pays attention to their reasoning.

George has truly represented us since taking office as county legislator in 2002 and now chairman of the board. People in the Seventh Cayuga County Legislative District are fortunate to have a man of this caliber representing them. I urge the voters to re-elect him to office Nov. 6th.

" My My My a simple error constitutes a major flaw in ones education? lol I am sure the message was conveyed in spite of your nit picking. All your post demonstrated was your arrogance and holier than thou attitude. "

" I was hoping to spare you the embarrassment of your own post but since you insist; I'll be happy to indulge you. Let's begin with your opening sentence. "George Fearon is the last THING anyone needs to represent them". It shouldn't require a PHD from Stanford University to grasp the concept that people shouldn't be referred to as "THINGS". Secondly, your spelling is atrocious. I would think anyone who has claimed as many conspiracies as you have, would be able to correctly spell the word "SCANDAL". As you can see Jerry, it's not innuendos, but rather FACTS that prove you to be lacking in education, credibility and integrity. "

" Jeepers Mr Yikes, I wish you had listed an example of what I failed to do instead of making innuendos. Had you listed some documented examples it would have given your post more credibility, thus it is just another example of the status quo wanting to continue their substandard leadership "

" Although I don't share the same opinion as Mr. Tallcot, I believe his editorial was well written and I commend him for that. I believe Mr. Fearon is a very hard worker but there's a difference between working hard and working smart. I believe Mr. Fricano can bridge that gap. Regarding Mr. Morgan's comments below, he should be filled with chagrin having been a member of the Auburn School Board. One would hope that our elected school officials (past or present) would be able to construct a properly worded sentence. Unfortunately, Mr. Morgan simply wasn't able to pull it off. "

" George Fearon is the last thing anyone needs to represent them. Keep in mind his double digit tax hikes, keep in mind the liability of the asbestos scandel, the ramifications have yet to be felt. Remember how he resigned so he could double dip the system. Remember how he has lied to not only his constituents, but to the entire county. Remember this on Nov the 6th vote against Fearon for an honest open government, not the self serving county government we have had . "

" Bull.....I personally have emailed him questions about things, especially the concerns of Chick being on the payroll yet. Not even an explanation of what laws constitute keeping him on the payroll at our expense. NO ANSWER at all. I was asking general questions at that. So bull!!!! He deserves a speedy retirement if that is what you want to call it. "
