Two Cents

I think it's a shame that there wasn't more of a write-up about Father Nacca. After all, he was in this area for a long time and did do a lot of good for the people.
Wayne Allen wants the taxpayers to cough up $75 million to upgrade county buildings and equipment. The contempt which these people have for the taxpayers is absolutely appalling.

I am so glad that at least the town of Cato has their act together.

I'm just calling about the LPNs because they are great nurses. They were the first ones, when I worked with them on the floors, to see the patients, not the RNs.

Keep Chapman and Dennison on the Cato board. They know what a contract is supposed to be.

Shame on Auburn's city manager, Mark Palesh, for publicly stating that “the rumor” of his resignation started in the comptroller's office. In my opinion his pointing the finger at the comptroller's office, or any office, without evidence just perpetuates the rumor mill.

Knowing that the city of Auburn is in financial difficulties, why don't the city firemen relinquish their overtime pay and get paid straight time? Those brilliant minds at City Hall take heed.

I'm glad to see Colorado win. It seems good to see a team win without all those million-dollar flunkies on it.

" If you don't want to kick in a few bucks of taxes to maintain buildings then wait a few years and pay 2 to 3 times more when the buildings fall apart due to no maintenance. Pay now or pay more later. "

" When your job cries poverty are you giving up your overtime pay? I think not! "

" I really don't know why people keep bashing the firemen. These people risk their lives to serve you. Yes, the overtime cost is outrageous, but if you are unhappy with that then you should bash the city officials who negotiated and agreed to the firemen's contract. "

" I find it interesting that all of the political signs you see in people's yards will ask you to vote for Joe Blow, but you don't get to see his political affiliation. "
