Have your cats spayed/neutered.
Last week, an individual(s) left at least 10 kittens under 6 weeks old on a country road at night. Did they really think they would survive without human intervention? After all, they are babies! The traffic, wild animals, and weather would have done them in if it were not for those caring individuals who searched dark cornfields to rescue them.
Actually, at least two met their demise due to this heartless act. I am now in the process of finding responsible households to adopt them and make sure they are spayed/neutered when the time comes.
Are people too stupid to realize if you don't get your animals spayed/neutered, they will reproduce? If you cannot afford it, there are programs to help with the cost.
I would like to thank those individuals who searched through dark cornfields to rescue the kittens. And for those who just dropped them off, shame on you. You should not take in any animal unless you're mature and responsible enough to take care of them.
