Auburn residents are fortunate to have subsidized housing developments - Schwartz Towers, Boyle Center, Stryker Homes, Melone Village, Brogan Manor and Olympia Terrace - that provide housing for elderly and low income persons. But for those whose income is too great to qualify, there is no housing project.

AUBURN - The project to replace the County Office Building's roof and remove asbestos is running ahead of schedule and with few cost overuns. Asbestos work has been completed, and the new roof is on. The project's estimated completion date is Oct. 25, with the offices on the sixth floor set to open Nov. 1.
