Date for new Britney Spears album moved up
Britney Spears' “Blackout” is coming sooner than expected.

The pop star's eagerly anticipated new album will be released Oct. 30, Jive Records announced Wednesday, citing Internet leaks as the reason the date was moved up from Nov. 13.

Jive said it “is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs,” including the leaking of “unfinished material and demos represented as completed legitimate songs” to the Internet.

Spears' new song, “Gimme More,” is the first single from “Blackout.” It is rising on the music charts - jumping from No. 68 to No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 last week - despite the pop star's personal woes.

Spears, 25, was ordered last week to temporarily surrender custody of her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to ex-husband Kevin Federline. Another custody hearing is set for Oct. 26.

Peter Fonda auctions memorabilia from film

The American flag taken from the back of the jacket worn by Peter Fonda in “Easy Rider” has sold for $89,625 at an auction of the actor's memorabilia from the iconic 1969 movie.

The Rolex watch that Fonda wore in the film was also part of the auction last weekend at Dallas' Heritage Auction Galleries.

The prototype watch sold for $33,460.

Heritage said the names of the buyers weren't revealed.

“Vintage film fans were quite active in this auction, with material related to classic stars realizing stratospheric prices,” said Doug Norwine, director of music and entertainment auctions for Heritage.

Bobby Brown denies having mild heart attack

Bobby Brown denied Wednesday that he had a mild heart attack, something his attorney said earlier he had suffered this week in Los Angeles.

The 38-year-old singer told Associated Press Radio that he is feeling fine and went to the hospital just for a checkup.

“None of it's true,” Brown said. “I went in for a checkup. The doc gave me a clean bill of health.”

His account differed from that of his Atlanta attorney, Phaedra Parks, who earlier in the day told The Associated Press that Brown had severe chest pains Tuesday night and was taken to two hospitals.

“This morning they did diagnose him as suffering from a mild heart attack ... they attributed to stress and diet,” Parks said, noting that she had spoken with him.

She said Brown was released Wednesday morning from a hospital in good condition.
