In Rep. James Walsh's column Thursday, he says it is time for a prudent and proper withdrawal.

One of the assets we have is the large airport near Baghdad. I propose moving all of our troops there and put out security, then the Iraqis will have to step up and take charge of their country, something they will never do as long as Americans can do it for them. And from this base, raids can be sent out when practical.

This should cut our casualties down to a very low number, and also allow for a large number of our troops to be sent home.

I think it will work.
