AUBURN -- The Cayuga-Onondaga Board of Cooperative Educational Services has narrowed down its pool of applicants for district superintendent to a pair.
Jonathan Buhner, superintendent of the Walton Central School District in Walton -- a town about 50 miles east of Binghamton -- and William Speck, principal of the Area Occupational Center at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES have been named superintendent semi-finalists following first-round interviews with the BOCES board of education and by Richard P. Mills, New York State commissioner of education, said Jessica Cohen, superintendent of the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES and search consultant.
