The Jordan-Elbridge boys cross country took first place over Liverpool (53-59) at the Liverpool Invitational on Saturday. Cody Stanton finished in third place (17:38) in the Varsity A race. His teammate Jeff Donohue placed fourth (17:41).
Two spots behind Donohue came Mike Marrero (18:02).
Donato Direnzo came in second place in the Varsity B race (18:46).
Direnzo had led the race for over a mile and a half. Tom Poppe finished in seventh (19:19). Jake Griffin took 31st (20:45) and completed the day for the Eagle Boys.
“We ran great today. I'm really proud of the boys. We went 3-4-6 in the first race and 2-7-31 in the second. We've been working so hard lately.,” Eagles coach Rog Roman said.
