What a nice thing Rev. Shaw is doing for poor

Thursday, October 4, 2007 9:57 AM EDT

When I saw that Father Dennis Shaw from Holy Family Church had started to get things going to help the poor before winter gets here, I was so happy.
And we didn't have to vote him in. Can you believe it. The Lord had to send him.

He is doing a wonderful thing, and so many people are volunteering and sending things that he needs.

I'm so happy to know we have a lot of people that care.

The only thing that hurts me is that I can't help him. I'm 89 years old and I can't do too much.

But to think that we didn't have to vote him in. Isn't that sad?

Why do we vote? You can't get help when we need them, but I thank Father very much and I know that he will get a lot of donations and help because the people of Auburn have already proven that.

Thank you so much, Father, and I know you will get a lot of help from our people.

And I know the homeless will really appreciate it. Thank you again, Father Shaw.
