K-Dad: What can the children expect?
Kevin Federline failed as a rapper. Now can he succeed as a parent?
K-Fed became K-Dad full-time Monday when a judge ordered Britney Spears to temporarily surrender custody of the couple's sons - Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1 - to Federline.
The one-time rapper's custodial gains may have more to do with Spears' decline than his own parenting skills.
The 25-year-old pop star failed to produce a California driver's license and allegedly missed a drug and alcohol test as ordered by the court, her lawyer, Sorrell Trope, said Tuesday.
But how will the kids fare with Federline?
Well, the 29-year-old father of four left his girlfriend, Shar Jackson, just months after she gave birth to their son, Kaleb. (Federline and Jackson also have a 5-year-old daughter, Kori.)
He and Spears married in October 2004, quickly had two children and split just after their second son was born. (Spears filed for divorce last November and it became official in July.)
Halle Berry talks about her pregnancy on Oprah
Halle Berry says she and her boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, tried and tried and tried to get pregnant.
“So there was a lot of staying home and doing what you do. Like, all the time, around the clock,” the 41-year-old Oscar-winning actress said Tuesday on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
One negative pregnancy test followed another, “and finally, after about 35 tests, we finally got a positive test,” Berry told Winfrey in one of her first interviews since announcing last month that she was expecting her first child with Aubry, her boyfriend of two years.
Berry, who is about three months pregnant, told Winfrey she doesn't want to know the sex of the baby.
Springsteen gets his own day in Connecticut
It wasn't just any Tuesday in Connecticut. It was officially “Bruce Springsteen Day.”
Springsteen and his E Street Band were to open their first tour since 2002 at the Hartford Civic Center on Tuesday night. They're promoting their new album, “Magic.”
Gov. Jodi Rell issued a proclamation honoring the multiple Grammy winner for his contributions to American music and declared Oct. 2 as “Bruce Springsteen Day in Connecticut.”
“Magic” is the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's first album with his longtime bandmates since the Sept. 11-inspired “The Rising” in 2002.
Springsteen, 58, released a solo acoustic effort, “Devils & Dust,” in 2005 and the folk-inspired “The Seeger Sessions” last year.
