To the people of Cayuga County: I would like to tell you about my experience as a patient in Auburn Memorial Hospital.

During the past eight months I have been a patient there for almost two full months. My physical condition went from being on the verge of death through the stages to recovery of my health.

Here it must be noted much of my success was due to the professional care, beyond the call of duty, from the staff that I and the patients around me received. My stays extended from outpatient day surgery, x-ray, surgery, lab, operating room, recovery room, ICU and time probably on all the floors. I did skip maternity. Others I'm sure have seen more. Respect of staff for each other, teamwork, friendship, and caring shone like a beacon no matter where I was. It was a place to feel safe, knowing that help was there many times before you pushed your bell.

Yes, I'm glad to be home, but I carry fond memories of the hard-working, smiling faces of everyone with whom I came in contact. When I need a hospital again it will be AMH.
