The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office is investigating two Union Springs burglaries, one of which has affected area Boy Scouts.
According to officials, food items were taken from the Be Happy Cafe, 149 Cayuga St., sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
During the same stretch of time, food items that had been stored by the Boy Scouts were taken from the basement of a building owned by Saxton Electric at 127 Cayuga St., according to the sheriff's office.
Forced entries were made into both buildings, and investigators believe the burglaries are related.
The sheriff's office asks anyone who may have observed any activity behind the buildings Monday evening or early Tuesday morning to call Detective Brian Schenck at 253-3545.
