Last April, I made a promise to carry the Independence Party banner all the way to the general election. I am committed to this race, and committed to having all the peoples' voices heard.
It has been my privilege to serve the people of Auburn and Cayuga County for 16 years in elected office. I look forward to bringing my message of lower taxes, regional approaches to providing public services, and realistic economic development to all the voters of Auburn.
Last week, 970 Democrats out of a registration of nearly 6,000 voted for Mr. Quill in the Democratic primary. I wish him well.
In November, between 9,000 and 10,000 registered voters will cast their ballot for mayor. I hope all will get out and vote and express their opinion on who is the best qualified to lead the city of Auburn.
