Panthers lose late touchdown
With two minutes left in the game, Port Byron had a chance to score inside the red zone and did so, but it was called back on a penalty. The Panthers couldn't find the endzone again, and their winning streak has halted at two.
Quarterback Brian Locastro went 6-10 for 77 yards and the Panthers racked up over 200 yards on the ground, led by Cody Dudley, who had 150 yards on 20 carries. CJ Kudla led the defense with eight tackles, while Ryan Eldridge and Dudley each had six. Jordan Stevens recorded the only sack.
“The punt return really hurt us,” Panthers coach Chris Kudla said. “We were moving the ball up and down, we just couldn't get it in at the end.”
Eagles can't must much offense
For the second straight week, Jordan-Elbridge had a tough time offensively, but gave up just one big play on defense on a 32 yard run in the fourth quarter.
“We just couldn't move the ball,” Jordan-Elbridge coach Mike Smart said. “We had a couple of turnovers, but the defense did a nice job out there.”
