Baseball tourney in Cooperstown
The Blue Jays Baseball Club will be holding an end-of-summer tournament near Cooperstown for teams ages 13 and 14 on Columbus Day weekend, October 6, 7 and 8 and also holding high school and summer tournaments in 2008.

Little League looking for board members

Little League baseball is looking for board members for a meeting at 1 p.m. today at Lake Fields.

Interested parties will need to bring a letter with references to the meeting.

WBA tournament today at Rainbow

The Auburn USBC WBA will be holding its annual No-Tap Tournament today at Rainbow Lanes.

The tournament is open to any woman sanctioned in the local association.

Feldman bowls on ESPN today

Michelle Feldman, general manager of Falcon Lanes, will appear in the U.S. Women's Open series 1 p.m. Sunday on ESPN (Time Warner cable channel 24). Feldman bowled hoping to advance to the Oct. 14 finals in Reno, Nev.

She has already qualified for the PBA Women's Series, which begins Oct. 31 in Taylor, Mich.

Doubledays jersey auction ends today

The Auburn Doubledays are auctioning off all of their 2007 home jerseys to raise money for the Leo A. Pinckney Scholarship Fund. All jerseys will be signed by the player who wore it for the 2007 season.

The jerseys are currently being listed on the Minor League Baseball auction site. The jerseys can be accessed through the Doubledays web page at www.auburndoubledays.com.

The auction ends tomorrow. The winners will receive the jersey along with a certificate of authenticity from the Doubledays.

Girls lacrosse camp offered at YMCA

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is offering a seven-week girls lacrosse instructional league for girls ages 8 to 12 years starting Nov. 3.

The league will introduce participants to the game of lacrosse with emphasis on skill development, practice games and sportsmanship.

Space is limited so early registration is recommended.

The fee is $30 for Y members and $60 for the general public.

Three-man scramble at Dutch Hollow

The Dutch Hollow annual Three-Man Scramble Golf Tournament will be played at 11 a.m. on Oct. 6 at Dutch Hollow Country Club.
