Local foundations hold info session
The Allyn Foundation, the Fred L. Emerson Foundation and the Stardust Foundation will host an informational session to orient potential applicants in Cayuga County as to the priorities of the application process.
Grant seekers will meet with the foundations' representatives from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Cayuga County Community College Irene A. Bisgrove Community Theatre.
The presentations are free and geared toward professionals working in charitable organizations. However, seating is limited so organizers suggest people call ahead to reserve a spot by calling 685-5059 and or e-mail Amy at anye@allynfoundation.org.
Outdoors seminar comes to Aurelius
An education and awareness night for area outdoors ethusiasts takes place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, in the Bass Pro Shops seminar room, thanks to the Cayuga County Federation of Conservation Clubs and Bass Pro Shops.
The program will include discussion regarding Citizens Deer Taskforce Program, the Central New York Coyote Study, VHS and other fish diseases in area lakes, changes in DECALS licenses and regulations, the conservation fund, and proposed legislation for sportsmen.
Presenters from a variety of state agencies and other organizations will conduct the program.
