The fund raisers are good, but I hope other avenues of revenues are persued, eg: National endowment of the Arts, Film Societies, Architectural grants,etc. Hell, the Baldwins are pretty close to local. Perhaps they could be persuaded to raise funds. Alec could use the good press. Has anyone looked into the possibility of a film festival or two. Auburn is the home of sound on film. A musical film festival would be appropriate. An African-American film festival in honor of Harriet Tubman would be a badge of honor for Auburn. You'd have to build hotels.
