Cayuga Reads, the reading project that encourages community members to read the same book at the same time, is sponsoring discussions of “The Tipping Point” by Malcolm Gladwell.
The first discussion will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Seymour Library, 176-178 Genesee St., Auburn.
Another discussion is scheduled for noon Thursday, Oct. 11, at the library. People attending the noon discussion are invited to bring their lunch; the event will start a few minutes after noon to give workers on their lunch break a chance to arrive.
“The Tipping Point,” this year's selection, has been on the New York Times bestseller list for more than three years. It examines a variety of social trends and studies how ideas and behavior spread among people.
Cayuga Reads is sponsored by the Auburn Enlarged City School District, Cayuga Community College, Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES and Seymour Library. Financial support was provided by a grant from the New York Newspaper Foundation.
