AUBURN - A state prison inmate was sentenced in Cayuga County Court Thursday to seven more years in prison for fighting with corrections officers. Judge Thomas Leone also sentenced Camillo Douglas, 26, to five years post-release supervision for three charges of second-degree assault.
Douglas was found guilty by a jury in August of assaulting three officers at Auburn Correctional Facility. The officers were injured trying to subdue him during a strip search, according to Chief Assistant District Attorney Jon Budelmann, who prosecuted the case.
Douglas is currently serving up to 15 years at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora for several felonies committed in the Bronx.
