So how is that ‘Save the Schine' thing going?

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 10:51 AM EDT

In the Two Cents spot, someone is complaining about Glen Fletcher needing money to renovate his building.
I have lived in Auburn for 27 years and the first thing I heard was “save the Schine.”

Now how much money was given to that “saving?”

When is the Schine going to open for use, or is it just another money pit of losing?

How many millions went to the Schine?

" I agree, it is a worthy project. I remember going there as a kid for movies (Jaws, Star Wars, etc...) and it was beautiful inside. I hope that it can be brought back to its original glory. "

" It's a worthy project but the funds come in grants and come slow. Work is done in phases and there is a lot of work to be done and the funding is not completely there. When it is done it will be a great thing for Auburn. So be patient unless you have a lot of money to donate to get it done quicker. "
