The Jordan-Elbridge boys cross country team, currently ranked sixth in Class C in New York, defeated Marcellus and Solvay on Wednesday. The Eagles beat Marcellus 25-32 after the Mustangs had the Eagles' number in the previous three seasons. The Eagles also beat the Bearcats, 15-46.
Jordan-Elbridge was led by it's 2-3-4-7 finish. Senior Jeff Donahue finished in second (17:20), behind Marcellus' Chris Stogsdill (16:44). The Eagles Jeff Stanton came in third (17:39), Mike Marerro was fourth (17:52) and Donato Direnzo finished seventh (18:27).
The Eagles will compete in the Auburn Invitational on Saturday.
