Would somebody please fix the “Road Work Ahead” sign on North Street between the Arterial and Dill Street that is upside down. It looks really stupid.
Great job, Mike, in the primary. The Citizen said you needed at least 65 percent and you did better than that.
How pitiful is it that less than 1,500 people felt it necessary to vote in the Democratic primary? It just goes to show how much Katie and Chuck have run that grand ole party into the ground.
Do you think our wealthy New York senator, Hillary Clinton, really “gets it” that low income, uncovered workers do not buy insurance now because they simply cannot afford it? If the government is going to mandate them to buy it, this will only oppress low income earners more unless the cost of insurance is made easily affordable for people in that income range.
Thanks to everyone who turned out to support Quill in the primary, can't wait for the general.
Once again neocons are trying to rewrite history. It took a Democratic president to end World War II in four years.
New Yorkers are very lucky they have Congressman James Walsh, who knows more than all the generals, sergeants and privates in Iraq.
If we had today's Republicans around during World War II, the entire world would be joining Hitler in the invasion of the United States. If we had Bush around during Word War II, our president would have been convicted as a war criminal already.
It's time to investigate Cayuga County tax-crazy legislators. Putting a few behind bars might slow them down.
The 3 to 11 staff on One North at Auburn Memorial Hospital would like to wish Officer Oughterson a speedy recovery. He has helped us out many, many times and we wish him well.
At Friday night's football game, they showed all the empty seats on the left side of the stadium. Why didn't the cameras show the cheerleaders, who worked so hard to be out there to cheer our team on?
When a politician leaves his leaflets in front of my mailbox in the town of Owasco, he doesn't get my vote.
Wannabees should serve their country before wearing Marine Corps shirts and caps.
What a big plus for downtown Auburn to have a new veterans memorial park.
Why isn't there a better write-up about the high school band who just won first place? You should be very proud of them.
I think if we have another Republican in office, nobody is going to speak to it anyway.
Time Warner, why don't you check your volume on some of your stations. Channel 2 and 4 are not very loud, and other stations are very loud.
I would like thank St. Alphonsus and Sacred Heart for their summer picnics they had for their parishioners. Everyone had a wonderful time and they should do more things like this for the people.
A few years ago the Cato Town Board went out of its way to help the very, very financially strapped Cato Fire Department, but for some strange reason the Meridian Fire Department requests help, and the answer is no. Have to wonder what's going on behind closed doors?
The construction on Genesee Street is frustrating enough, but the road crew should know how to direct traffic before they try. They just stand there and expect vehicles to know which lane to use.
The politicians that don't want a casino here, vote them out of office election day.
I sure hope our new superintendent is sensible enough to issue snow days when they're needed, as Plume cared more about the attendance rate than the safety and health of the students and teachers.
