Tyburn Academy turned out better than expected

Thursday, September 20, 2007 10:17 AM EDT

Sunday afternoon my dad and I attended the open house for the new home of Tyburn Academy on Clymer Street.
This is the old St. Mary's elementary school.

I went expecting a nice time but not too much because it was such an effort to move the entire school in a month and a half's time.

I was very surprised at how fabulous the classrooms, halls and facilities came out.Everything has been refreshed, painted and polished. There is so much room in each classroom and all the rooms are so bright with very large windows.

The chem lab is also very large and the chapel is so beautiful and moving. I just didn't realize how nice this would all turn out. The staff and volunteers did such a great job.

My only hope is that Tyburn Academy has several more of these open houses and they are advertised to all of Auburn to come in and see what is available for everyone. Now, more than ever, students have a wonderful additional choice for their education.

More details regarding the Tyburn approach to education is available at http://www.tyburnacademy.com. I was also delighted to hear that Tyburn offers many different sports and a band program among other activities.

Everyone is welcome to receive an education at Tyburn Academy. I believe Tyburn has a very bright future for our students and will flourish with all our support.

" I say we have Karl L. over to the school to lecture on his many years of research on the myth of Christ. That would go over like a lead balloon. "
