Moravia goalie Dylan Turner had 10 saves and Mike Drake delivered the only goal of the game as the Blue Devils edged Groton 1-0 in a boys soccer game Monday.

“It was a back-and-forth game,” Blue Devils coach Jim Myers said. “Both teams played tough. We just caught their defense too far out and Mike was able to chip a shot over their goalkeeper.”
Groton actually outshot Moravia 20-16 and had a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks. But the Blue Devils were able to take advantage offensively, if only on one shot.
“Both teams played a good, defensive game,” Myers said. “We were just able to create some good scoring chances.
Moravia (1-4-2 overall) hosts Marathon Wednesday.
