Thruway work will cause minor delays
The New York State Thruway Authority announced that an exit lane at Interchange 41 (Waterloo) will be closed on Monday, Sept. 17 beginning at 7:30 a.m., due to a repair project that includes pavement reconstruction.

The lane is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Friday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m., weather permitting.

During the reconstruction project, the exit lane will remain closed for approximately two weeks and exiting traffic will be moved to another lane that is normally used as the dedicated E-ZPass entry lane.

As a result, a dedicated E-ZPass lane on entry will be unavailable for the duration of the project. However, motorists are reminded that E-ZPass can be used in any open lane.

Throughout the project, motorists may experience minor delays during peak morning hours.
