Pancake breakfast for cross country
There will be a pancake breakfast to benefit the Auburn boys and girls cross country team from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23 at the Knights of Columbus on 47 Market St. in Auburn.
The breakfast will include orange juice, coffee, toast, sausage, eggs, french toast and pancakes and will once again be served by Red and his “Band of Outlaws.”
Football benefit is Sept. 26 at Pizza Hut
There is a Southern Springs football benefit from 4 to 10 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Pizza Hut on Grant Avenue in Auburn.
Twenty percent of the bill will go to benefit the football program.
Auction for camo jerseys ends Sept. 15
The signed camouflage jerseys of Auburn Doubledays Manny Rodriguez, Cody Crowell, Baron Frost and JP Arencibia are up for auction on E-bay. The auctions end on Sept. 15. All proceeds will go to the Iraq Family Relief Fund. The jersey auction links can be found by visiting www.auburndoubledays.com.
The jerseys were worn on Aug. 29 for Army National Guard Camouflage Jersey Night.
While most of the jerseys were raffled off that night, these special jerseys of the Doubledays' most popular players were pulled out to be auctioned off. In the coming days, the jerseys of All Stars, Ben Zeskind and Brett Cecil will also go up for auction. For further information, contact the Auburn Doubledays at 255-2489.

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is offering a free scuba trial from 8 to 10 p.m. on Sept. 14. No pre-registration is required.

Doubledays hosting trip to Toronto
The Auburn Doubledays will lead an outing to the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Sept. 29, to see the Blue Jays take on the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Attendees will also have the chance to see their favorite Doubleday honored on the field during the annual Webster Awards. Past winners include Vito Chiaravalloti, Ryan Patterson and Scott Campbell.
The $99 cost includes field-level seats for the 1:05 p.m. game and bus transportation.

The Auburn YMCA will be holding a fall session of aquatics classes beginning the week of Sept. 10.
Aquacise, Deep Water Fitness, Rusty Hinges and Adult learn to swim classes.
Water aerobic classes are also available to all adults with varied skill levels.
Classes run two to three times a week, for a seven-week session.
Registrations are now being accepted.
The cost is $60 for the general public and free for Y members.
