AUBURN - “Know your numbers.”
That phrase, experts say, should be a mantra for anyone who suffers from diabetes and its related illnesses. Maintaining proper blood glucose levels and monitoring both systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings should be foremost in a diabetic's self-care, they suggest.
Starting last month, the Cayuga Community Health Network, a self-described “rural health network” that provides various health services to community residents, has partnered with the Central New York Diabetes Prevention Partnership to offer a “Lunch and Learn” series.
