The Onondaga Cortland Madison Board of Cooperative Educational Services will bring anti-smoking and anti-tobacco speaker Rick Stoddard to Cayuga County school districts on Monday, Sept. 10.
Stoddard will present “The Burning Truth,” at the Moravia Central School District middle/high school auditorium at 8:15 and 9:50 a.m. and at the middle/high school auditorium at the Port Byron Central School District at 1:15 p.m.
At age 46, Stoddard's wife, Marie, died from lung cancer caused by cigarette smoking. His mission is to reach as many youths and adults across America as possible about the dangers of tobacco use.
Stoddard has shared his story on television, radio public service announcements, and 800,000 students in more than 1,350 schools.
