Mechanical music machines to sound
Dick and Dorothy Baker will share their collection of mechanical music machines, including antique music boxes and phonographs, during a presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Frontenac Museum, 178 Cayuga St., Union Springs. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own antique music machines to share.

Society to recount influential past
Lock 52 Historical Society of Port Byron will host a presentation on Family Genealogy by Charles Gregory at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the society, 73 Pine St., Port Byron.
Visitors are encouraged to attend and hear about some of the people who influenced the settling and growth of Port Byron. Refreshments will be served.
Auburn Go Club to meet next week
The Auburn Go Club will commence its post-summer meetings from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Seymour Library, 176 Genesee St., Auburn.
Go is an ancient Chinese strategy game popular in Asia. The club is geared towards children and beginners of all ages. Newcomers may learn either a simple version or the regular Go.

Fort Hill Cemetery tour scheduled
Collin Sullivan and Laurel Auchampaugh will conduct guided tours of Fort Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday Sept. 16. Each tour will start at Bradley Chapel , 19 Fort St., Auburn. Another tour is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 21. Visitors will view the gravesites and learn the history of these important members of the community: Jerome “Brud” Holland, Dr. Sylvester Willard, Martha Coffin Wright & Eliza Wright Osborne, Allen Macy Dulles, William H. Seward, Theodore W. Case, John H. Beach and Harriet Tubman.
Admission is $5 per person. Advance sale tickets will be available at the Community Preservation Committee office located at Willard Memorial Chapel, 17 Nelson St., Auburn. Tickets will also be available at Bradley Chapel the day of the tour.

Program to feature Erie Canal Cloggers
A special program featuring the Erie Canal Cloggers and Michael Riley, local author of 1/2 Miles of the Erie Canal,” will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Ward W. O'Hara Agricultural Museum in Owasco.
In addition, Riley will entertain with a narration of highlights and photographs from his book. Also Marianne Finn will perform on the keyboard.
This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

In celebration of National Active Aging Week, beginning the last week in September, a dance will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the pavilion at Emerson Park in Owasco. This fun event is free and open to all adults age 50 and over. Music will be provided by Ted Mosley and Moondance and refreshments will be served.
