Route 34B residents unite for annual sale

Make others' oldies your goodies at the fourth annual Route 34B Garage Sale.
The sheer variety of merchandise should meet any hearts' desire. On Saturday, from Fleming to King Ferry to Lansing, items will be for sale including furniture, antiques, toys, books, collectibles, electronics, bicycles, electronics, linens and clothing among other items.

The rain or shine sale began four years ago when a group of neighbors in King Ferry had the idea to sell all their old items together, on one day, according to a press release. Since, it has grown into a community event that stretches along State Route 34B.

Only in its fourth year, the sale has gained a following and bargain hunters return each year to find what vendors have cleaned out from their attics, closets, basements and garages since last year.

Like the popular Route 90 sale that was held earlier this summer, the Route 34B Garage Sale will have clusters of sales activity interspersed by stretches of farmland, but unlike Route 90's, there is less distance to travel.
