MORAVIA - A Syracuse man is facing drunk driving charges after he crashed a vehicle into a home Sunday night, sending three of his passengers to the hospital.
Driver James Gower, 40, of Syracuse, allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Route 38A and Dresserville Road in Moravia around 10:30 p.m., authorities said.
The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office said he sped through the intersection and struck the home of Arthur and Irene Allen at 1993 Route 38A.
Vehicle occupants Kathy Barzee, 36, Elizabeth Barzee, 12, and Tiffanay Barzee, 11, were transported to University Hospital in Syracuse, but authorities say the injuries are non-life threatening.
The sheriff's office charged Gower with driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign and speed unreasonable.
The occupants of the home did not suffer injuries.
