State departments to hold hearing

The state departments of Health and Insurance will have a public hearing in Syracuse this November for input on a reform initiative dubbed New York's Partnership for Coverage.

The program aims to develop a high-quality, cost-effective health care system, increase access to insurance, and identify a sustainable model for universal coverage.

There will be hearings on proposals to achieve those goals in five upstate cities this fall.

A public hearing is slated for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 13, at Onondaga Community College, Syracuse.
