Anyone interested can join the Girl Scout program.
Organizers say girls will learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal-setting, the spirit of teamwork and a sense of accomplishment. They also learn to be leaders, in the communities and in their own lives.
All girls are welcome in Girl Scouting, ages 5 to 17, or kindergarten through senior year of high school.
Girls may register any time of the year, but many registration events are being organized by local volunteers to answer questions girls and their families may have about the program. Below are the events known for this readership area. If your community is not listed, check the Girl Scouts-Seven Lakes Council Web site at www.girlscoutssevenlakes.org or call (800) 448-6954 to be directed to the appropriate volunteers and staff.
Girl Scout registration is $10 per year. Financial assistance is available.
