Site feature lists ways to contact inmates
Families and friends of people incarcerated by the New York State Department of Correctional Services will now have another way to learn the procedures required to maintain contact with loved ones.

The DOCS' Family Guide, which provides information on the rules of visiting, understanding the phone-home call system and sending mail, packages and other items to inmates during their incarceration will now be available on the department's Web site.

To access the guide, visit www.docs.state.ny.us and click on the new “Family Guide” tab on the left-hand column.

The English-language version is available; the Spanish-language version is scheduled to be posted shortly.
