Donny Rodriguez paced the Cato-Meridian offense with 103 yards on the ground in a 20-0 win over Richfield Springs in a football game Saturday.
While Rodriguez led the offense, David Quinn (eight tackles) led the defense which totally shut down Richfield Springs.
“Our defense played outstanding,” coach C.J. Hannon said. “We did what we had to do. Early on it was a defensive struggle but we got the ground game going in the second half to put up some points.”
The Blue Devils had no turnovers on the day.
Cato-Meridian (1-0) hosts Canastota on Friday.
