MORAVIA - Julius McClary is used to making the big play in basketball.
Saturday, McClary proved he can do more than wow crowds on the hardwood.
The senior returned a fourth-quarter kickoff 86 yards to give Southern Springs a 25-18 victory over Moravia in a Section IV non-league contest.
“I was mad when I didn't get in the first time,” McClary said, referring to an earlier return. “I told myself I wasn't going to let them touch me. The blocking pretty much led me in.”
It was the last of several big plays of for the Wolves, who also scored on a Jason Wright to McClary 67-yard pass and a Joel Terry (112 yards) 56-yard run earlier in the game.

Shiloh Richner (6-2, 6-1), Ali Nolen (6-4, 6-4), Ana Riley (6-3, 3-6, 6-2) and Kat Kuziuka (6-1, 6-1) won their singles matches as the Wells College women's tennis team defeated Keystone College 5-4 on Saturday.
In doubles play, Koziura and Riley won 8-5 and Cat Abrego and Nolen won 8-4 to secure the victory.
