Labor Day Classic set to run Sept. 3
The Mason & Grant Labor Day Classic will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3 at Emerson Park.
Registration will take place on race day from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Emerson Park. The entry fee is $10 for the 5k and 10k. The one-mile run is free.
There will be age-group awards and course record awards following the race.
Hockey Club in need of qualified coaches
The Auburn Hockey Club is looking for qualified volunteers to coach youth hockey for the 2007-08 season.

Tickets available for PGA Tour event
The Cayuga County Arts Council is selling tickets to a PGA Tour Event to be held at the Turning Stone Resort from Sept. 17 to 23. Prices vary depending on how many days you plan to attend.
Sales will benefit the Cayuga County Arts Council and its projects.

D-days auctioning off home jerseys
The Auburn Doubledays are auctioning off all of their 2007 home jerseys to raise money for the Leo A. Pinckney Scholarship Fund. All jerseys will be signed by the player who wore it for the 2007 season.
The jerseys are currently being listed on the Minor League Baseball auction site. The jerseys can be accessed through the Doubledays web page at www.auburndoubledays.com.
The auction runs through Sept. 30.
The winners will receive the jersey along with a certificate of authenticity from the Doubledays.

Monday racquetball begins Sept. 10
The Auburn YMCA-WEIU Monday night racquetball league starts on Sept. 10. Players of all levels are welcome to play in this five week league.
The fee is $15 for Y members and $30 for the general public.
Registration is limited and entrants will be accepted on a first come basis.
Deadline to register is Sept. 5, for further information call 253-5304 or visit www.auburnymca.org.
Hockey clinics begin soon in Skaneateles
There will be Skaneateles hockey clinics at the Skaneateles Community Center on select dates for the following groups:
Mites: Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30
Squirts and Peewees: Sept. 5, 12, 19, 26
Mike Lowe, Auburn varsity hockey coach will instruct the Peewee group and Mike Major will instruct the squirts.
Dan Babbage, Mite “A” Coach will be the lead instructor for Mites.
