The Citizen Downtown Auburn Mile was run Friday night with over 400 runners. The most we have had prior to that was just over 300 in 2006. Way to go Auburn! On behalf of the Auburn YMCA-WEIU, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Citizen, Spirits Pub and Sporthill for the support they have given the mile over the past few years; to the volunteers who spend their free time doing the work that provides such a high quality family event; to the city of Auburn and staff that allow us to run this event and their assistance in ensuring a fun, safe time for everyone. Lastly, thank you to all the people who come out to participate in the race it's your participation that keeps us going.

Maybe next year we can go over the 500 mark! Thanks again.
