Basketball program begins Sept. 17
Auburn Maroons Monday/Wednesday Basketball program will begin Sept. 17 at Auburn High School.
The program is open for any boy who resides in the Auburn school district.

AHS softball car wash set for Sept. 1
There will be a car wash to benefit Auburn softball from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sept. 1, at Applebee's on Grant Avenue. The cost is $5 per car.
D-days auctioning off home jerseys
The Auburn Doubledays are auctioning off all of their 2007 home jerseys to raise money for the Leo A. Pinckney Scholarship Fund. All jerseys will be signed by the player who wore it for the 2007 season.
The jerseys are currently being listed on the Minor League Baseball auction site. The jerseys can be accessed through the Doubledays web page at www.auburndoubledays.com.
The auction runs through Sept. 30. The winners will receive the jersey along with a certificate of authenticity from the Doubledays.

ForeSIGHT golf classic is Sept. 10
The annual ForeSIGHT Golf Classic will be held Monday, Sept. 10 at Foxfire at Village Green in Baldwinsville.
This year's tournament will include a tribute to the late Worth Dalton, a blind golfer who had been a guest at the classic for several years.
Proceeds of the tournament will benefit Aurora of CNY.
Entry fees will include greens fees, a cart, lunch, a banquet dinner, prizes, raffles and giveaways.

Gun safety class hosted by Falcon's
There will be a gun safety class from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 and from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 8, at the Falcon Sportsmen Club.
Registration must be done in person to pick up form and study materials at Camillus Gun & Archery Shop in Elbridge.
The class is required for all first-time hunters before a hunting license is purchased.
There is no charge for the class.

Classes start the week of Sept. 10 and continue through Oct. 27. Available programs include aquatics, youth sports, adult fitness classes, adult sports and

The Cayuga County Arts Council is selling tickets to a PGA Tour Event to be held at the Turning Stone Resort from Sept. 17 to 23. Prices vary depending on how many days you plan to attend. Sales will benefit the Cayuga County Arts Council and its projects.
