Scouts lend some hair
WEEDSPORT - Locks of Love is a national nonprofit organization that was founded with one mission: to provide a sense of self confidence and normalcy to children suffering from medical hair loss as a result of chemotherapy and radiation treatments and alopecia areata.
The girls of Weedsport Girls Scouts Troop 1028, along with the rest of the organization, decided it was time to do something to lend a helping hand to this worthy cause.
On Sunday afternoon, the girls hosted a hair cutting and gathering at the First Presbyterian Church.
