Falcon Park to host Baseball Chapel
Baseball Chapel will be sponsoring a chapel service at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26 at Falcon Park prior to the 6 p.m. game between the Auburn Doubledays and the Batavia Muckdogs.
The service is for the people of Auburn and surrounding areas.
Former minor league pitcher Scott Nute will speak at the service.
Labor Day Classic to run on Sept. 3
The Mason & Grant Labor Day Classic will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3 at Emerson Park.
Registration will take place on race day from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Emerson Park. The entry fee is $10 for the 5k and 10k. The one-mile run is free.
There will be age-group awards and course record awards following the race.
ForeSIGHT Golf Classic on Sept. 10
The annual ForeSIGHT Golf Classic will be held Monday, Sept. 10 at Foxfire at Village Green in Baldwinsville.
This year's tournament will include a tribute to the late Worth Dalton, a blind golfer who had been a guest at the classic for several years.
Proceeds of the tournament will benefit Aurora of CNY.
Entry fees will include greens fees, a cart, lunch, a banquet dinner, prizes, raffles and giveaways.

Pop Warner pep rally on Friday
There will be an Auburn Indians Pop Warner pep rally at 6 p.m. on Aug. 24 at David's Field.
There will be a DJ and raffles. Any person that brings canned food for a local food pantry or a 12-pack of a Pepsi product will get a ticket to win free Auburn Indians clothing.

Little League holding fall clinics, games
Registration has begun for Little League Fall Ball instructional clinics and games.
Play begins in September and is open to children ages 8 to 12.
The fee is $30. The clinics are instructed by area high school coaches and there will be weekend games.

There will be a gun safety class from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 and from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the Falcon Sportsmen Club.
Registration must be done in person to pick up form and study materials at Camillus Gun & Archery Shop in Elbridge.
The class is required for all first-time hunters before a hunting license is purchased.
There is no charge for the class.
The Citizen D-town Mile runs on Friday
The Citizen Downtown Auburn Mile is set to kick off at 7 p.m. on Aug. 24. The one-mile race begins at the corner of Washington and Genesee streets and ends at State Street.
Beverages will be provided for all participants following the race.
The entrance fee is $10 for early entrants and $15 on the day of the race.
T-shirts are guaranteed on race day for the first 200 registered by Aug. 17.
