11 nights of music

The Great New York State Fair is synonymous with bringing big-name musical acts to to the grounds. This year is no exception with 11 nights of pure entertainment and a little something for all tastes - from '80s to present day rockers to country favorites to Disney Channel superstars, and Lynryd Skynyrd kicks it all off tonight, at the Mohegan Sun Grandstand.
Here's the breakdown of each night of grandstand entertainment:

Tonight

Lynyrd Skynyrd with special guest Tracy Lawrence, 7:30 p.m.

Friday

Poison and Ratt, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

The Cheetah Girls with special guest T-Squad, 7:30 p.m.

Sunday

Carrie Underwood with special guest Rodney Atkins, 7:30 p.m.

Monday

Counting Crows and Hootie & the Blowfish, 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday

“Projekt Revolution” featuring in order of appearance: Madina Lake, Styles of Beyond, The Bled, Saosin, Mindless Self Indulgence, Julien-K, Placebo, HIM, Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park, 12:45 p.m.

Wednesday

Hilary Duff with special guest The Click Five, 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 30

Hinder, Papa Roach and Buckcherry, 7 p.m.

Friday, August 31

Kenny Chesney with special guest Sugarland, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 1

Brad Paisley with Kellie Pickler, Taylor Swift and Jack Ingram, 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 2

American Idols Live, 7:30 p.m.
