Sportsmen Club hosting tourney
The Falcon Sportsmen Club is hosting its annual golf tournament at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at the Millstone Golf Course.
Competing teams must consist of four people, and the number of teams is limited to 36.
The cost to register a team is $240.
Payment is due by August 28.

The Cayuga County Arts Council is selling tickets to a PGA Tour Event to be held at the Turning Stone Resort from Sept. 17 to 23.

AAU sponsoring golf tournament
The AAU Basketball Golf Tournament will be held at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club.
The cost to register a team is $260.
The tournament will help raise money for next year's AAU Basketball team.
There will also be a party immediately following the tournament at Daut's Restaurant.
Applications are currently available at Daut's.

Daly, Janzen to play Turning Stone event
Major Championship winners Lee Janzen and John Daly are in the field for the Turning Stone Resort Championship.
Both players have accepted sponsor exemptions to compete in the PGA Tour event, scheduled for Sept. 17-23 at the Oneida Nation's Atunyote Golf Club.
Janzen has eight victories on Tour, including U.S. Open Championships in 1993 and 1998 .
The long-hitting Daly burst onto the golf scene in 1991 at age 25 when, playing as an alternate, he was the surprise winner of The PGA Championship.
His booming drives and outgoing personality quickly made him a fan favorite.
Other PGA professionals who are in the field include Fred Funk, winner of the 2005 Players Championship, Woody Austin, who just finished second in the PGA Championship, three-time Tour winner Chris DiMarco, Robert Gamez, Jason Gore, Rocco Mediate, Kevin Stadler, Duffy Waldorf and Bubba Dickerson.
