Unless Tim Lattimore defeats Assemblyman Gary Finch in the Sept. 10 Republican primary, Lattimore won't have a shot at unseating the Springport incumbent. The state Board of Elections threw out Lattimore's petitions to run as a Democrat on Tuesday, saying he had only 407 of the necessary 500 valid signatures to get on the Democratic Party ticket for the new 123rd Assembly District. That same board validated his Republican petitions, allowing Lattimore to run on that party's ticket.
