Y-Owasco hosting women's day camp
Camp Y-Owasco is hosting a Day Camp for Women from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
Women will have the whole day to relax and enjoy a gentle yoga class, massage sessions, nature walks, essential oils information, mini-facials, reflexology, reiki sessions and boat rides.
A catered lunch is included and snacks are offered throughout the day.
The cost is $30 for members and $40 for the general public. Registration is required and will be taken at the Y membership desk until Aug. 24.

Hockey Club in need of qualified coaches
The Auburn Hockey Club is looking for qualified volunteers to coach youth hockey for the 2007-08 season.

CNY Cheer Company, Inc. is conducting cheerleading camps for all area cheerleaders. One day sessions for ages eight and up run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Aug. 22.
A special session for youth football/Pop Warner cheerleaders will be held on Aug. 21. Participants need to register at least one week in advance to each session.

AAU golf tourney is Aug. 19 at Lakeview
The AAU Basketball Golf Tournament will be held at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club.
The cost to register a team is $260. The tournament will help raise money for next year's AAU Basketball team.
There will also be a party immediately following the tournament at Daut's Restaurant. Applications are currently available at Daut's.

Your chance to be in broadcast booth
The Auburn Doubledays are teaming up with the ALS Association to help the fight against amytrophic lateral sclerosis, also referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. Every Saturday throughout the season, auctions will be held for the chance to be in the WAUB radio booth for the fourth, fifth and sixth innings as the play-by-play of color announcer. The winning bidder has the option and will be part of the broadcast on 1590 AM in Auburn as well as worldwide on milb.com. The Doubledays will provide a CD of the game that day so that the winning bidder can have a recording to take home. Bidding will take place on auburndoubledays.com as well as by phone in the Doubledays office at 255-2489. Auctions will close the Sunday prior to the game up for auction at 7 p.m.
Half of the winning bid from the auction will go directly to the ALS Association.
