Pabis, Hoercher to address Rotary
Auburn Rotary Club members meet weekly to plan club and community service activities.
In addition, this time is used for networking, career development and learning about various other organizations and programs in the community.
This month, the following speakers are scheduled to address the club:
€ Aug. 14 - Newly appointed School Superintendent J.D. Pabis will speak on where Auburn schools will be heading in the future
€ Aug. 21 - Maggie Hoercher, Auburn Rotary's Outbound Exchange Student, will talk about her experiences in Australia.

Plunk and dunk for charity
The Child Care Council of the Finger Lakes will hold a golf tournament from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Reese's Dairy Bar and Miniature Golf on Clark Street Road in Auburn.
The cost for the golf tournament will be $40 for a team of four. The tournament will have a shotgun start at four different times from 3 to 6 p.m. In addition to the opportunity to play miniature golf, there will be entertainment by a DJ, children's games and a dunking both. Dunkees will include Jon Budelman, candidate for Cayuga County district attorney; Dan Emmi, Auburn Police Department; Susan Muldoon, coordinator of Partnership for Results After School Programs, and David Roth, Auburn High School principal.

Lonskys to perform at Tiffany concert
Local performers Stephen, Barbara and Stephanie Lonsky will perform at the Tiffany Summer Concert series at noon Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Willard Memorial Chapel, 17 Nelson St., Auburn. The hour-long performance will feature old time gospel music. The concert is open to the public, and all donations will be used to support the maintenance and restoration of the chapel.
The Tiffany Summer Concert Series will run each Wednesday through Aug. 29.

Sennett Seniors plan trip to Maine
The Sennett Seniors are hosting a “Leaves and Lighthouses” trip to Maine Oct. 16 to 18. The price includes a two-night stay at the Meadowmere Resort in Ogunquit, four meals including a lobster bake, admission to Portland Harbor Museum and Seashore Trolley Museum, a tour of historic Portland and a visit to the Vermont Country Store. The cost is $395 for double occupancy and $385 for triple.

The Schweinfurth Art
Center is seeking submissions for its 26th annual Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibit.
Enter online at www.myartcenter.org. Entries are due Monday, Aug. 20.
Cost to enter is $20 for up to two quilts for Art Center members and $25 for non-members.
