Port Byron FD fires up car show

PORT BYRON #- Classic cars roared into Port Byron Saturday afternoon for the second annual Port Byron Fire Department car show.

The show started last year as a fundraiser for the department to help raise money for the department's general fund, which helps to buy supplies and other items that aren't covered by the department's usual operating budget.

“A lot of us love cars,” event chairman Fred Laury said. “So we thought this would be a good way to have a fundraiser and have fun at the same time.”
