Each Wednesday, The Citizen features someone in the food services industry from the Finger Lakes community in The Banks: This week, we spotlight Zach Woodworth of Jreck Subs in Weedsport.
Q. What is the one food you cannot live without? Why?

A. Jreck's, because it's good and I know what it is.

Q. Fill in the blank. People would be surprised to know that even though I work in the food industry, when I am at home in the kitchen, I __________.

A. Do nothing.

Q. What do you like most about living and working in the Finger Lakes region?

A. The small-town feel, so you know everyone that comes in.

Q. If you were given $1 million to open your own restaurant, describe it and what type of food you would serve.

A. It'd be a fancy sit-down restaurant with every different ethnic food.

Q. Where would it be located?

A. Las Vegas or Los Angeles, because of the rich clientele.

Q. On the day of your restaurant's grand opening, if you could select anyone in the world to be your first three guests, who would they be?

A. Shaquille O'Neal, because I look up to him and he's a nice guy; Jim Kelly, because he played for the Bills; and my mom, because I know she'd tell me if the restaurant was bad or not.

Q. Describe your most embarrassing moment while working on the job.

A. Once I forgot to ring someone in, so they got free subs.

Q. What is your favorite junk food?

A. Doritos.

Q. What have you learned are the top three ways to run a successful food business?

A. Always be there for your employees, good advertising and good pricing.

Q. If you weren't working in the food business, what would you like to be doing?

A. Working somewhere else.

Q. Ugh. What's the one food which you absolutely can't stomach? Why?

A. Lettuce, because I choked on it once when I was younger.
