AUBURN - The Warriors scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat the Sun Devils 12-9 and win the Auburn Jr. Olympic Softball 13-14-year-old championship last weekend.
The Sun Devils had scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie it at 9-9.
Jessica Massi, Karleigh Reiley and Mikela Anderson each had three hits for the Warriors. Shannon Haff, Morlie Pinker and Angela Debendetto each had two hits. Allison Pelton and Christina Granato each were praised for defense.
Haff, the starter, struck out eight and Taylor Aresti had three strikeouts in the final two innings to earn the win.
